Six Core Strategies 2nd Edition Service Review Tool

This service review tool (formerly known as the Six Core Strategies© checklist), provides guidance for mental health services in implementing a whole-of-system and evidence-informed approach towards least restrictive practice. It is based on the original Six Core Strategies© developed in the US by the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors Medical Directors Council (NASMHPD). This version has been adapted for use in New Zealand mental health services.

Implementation teams can utilize the full review tool of all six strategies or work through each strategy one at a time to support implementation efforts.
