Make It Clear: Defining the Role of Family Partners

This lesson highlights the importance of clearly defined roles and responsibilities in the implementation process by providing an overview of the shared experience of the participating residential treatment facilities who participated in the pilot.

Family partners fill a specialized role in supporting children and families within North Carolina’s child behavioral health system, and especially while a child is placed at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. Taking the time to clearly define and behaviorally describe the role is essential to support effective implementation efforts.
